October has come and gone and the Garage League season action is well underway! All teams have played 5 games so far and things couldn’t have been tighter for Halloween week – both games needed extra time to decide a winner. In Thursday’s game, it was the Randy CarGuyles taking down the Finnished Flats, 7-6 with Andrew Defries potting the OT winner while in Saturday’s game, the Babych Patch Kids beat Full Housley for their 4th win in a row with Tom Westoll notching the sole goal in the shootout.

League play kicked off this week with two great matches and the GLHE having its first official skate!

The team name theme this year is “Jets 1.0” and if there were an award for first team to name themselves, Team 1 would take it! They have officially become “Full Housley”.

Both games this weekend featured a hattrick, Roger Durand for Full Housley and Rich Deschamps (who reportedly forewent his traditional pre-game banana for 3 hot dogs) for the as yet unnamed “Team 2”. Things are shaping up nicely for another exciting and high flying Garage League season!

Results, Standings & Stats pages are all updated – keep an eye on them throughout the year.
